Northwest Florida Ballet joins Sinfonia Gulf Coast in celebrating its 5th anniversary. Northwest Florida Ballet will perform excerpts from Profofiev's romantic ballet Romeo and Juliet. Violinist Nick Kendall takes center stage in the Southeast US premiere of Chris Burbeck's Concerto for Violin Spontaneous Combustion. Regular admission is $37.50 or you can purchase tickets for $52.50 that include Gala table seating including heavy hors d'oeuvres.

The weekend will kick-off with the first ever "Taste of the Village" on Friday, February 18th where Village merchants offer a sampling of the region's finest cuisine. Saturday, February 19th will host the festival's main event, the Sandestin Gumbo Cook-off, where guests sample gumbo and Bloody Mary's, voting for their favorite as People's Choice. Celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the "Area's Best" awards for gumbo. The award for Best Display, which goes tot he business or restaurant with the most innovative booth, will also be announced. Ticket holders will enjoy family entertainment and live music throughout the entire weekend. A weekend ticket is $15 in advance and $25 on the day of the event.

Part of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra's 24th season, the concert features the winners of the prestigious annual Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra Regional Concerto Competition as well as the playful classic by Russian composer Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf, to delight and inspire children and adults of all ages. Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra founding conductor emeritus John Leatherwood will lend his talents as the narrator of this delightful work.
