The Red, White, and Blue Celebration at HarborWalk Village located on the Destin Harbor, is a honoring of a local hero at 7 P.M each Thursday following Memorial Day until Labor Day. Each week the celebration will highlight the efforts of people who go above and beyond to make their community better. Local entertainment and a WWII replica flyover begin at 7:20 P.M. A spectacular fireworks show displays over the Destin Harbor at 8 P.M. Children's crafts and fun from 6:30-8 P.M.

The July Fourth Extravaganza on the Harbor will feature live entertainment and family activities kicking off at 2 P.M. Family activities will include children's crafts, face and body painting, and inflatables. Fireworks will highly the festivities with a 21 minute display over the Harbor.

2nd Annual Run for the Panhandle

Our 2nd Annual Run for the Panhandle to benefit the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge will be held on Saturday, July 23 2011. The course start will be at the Landing in Ft Walton Beach and is a 3.1 mile flat course (7am start) on Brooks St with a 1 mile kid's run course (8am start). An awards ceremony will be held afterward at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. Entry fees as follows: Sign up before July 20th at Fridays in Destin and registration is $20 dollars; after July 20th it will be $25 dollars. Kids fun run is $10 dollars. Students, military and track club members $17 before July 20 and $23 after the 20th. Incentives: Awards will be given for Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female for each age group.
