Condo Features: This beautiful Gulf-front vacation rental includes patio doors in the living room leading to a private balcony that provides a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. Other features of this updated, colorful vacation rental unit include a full-size refrigerator, cook-top stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher, along with all the dishes, pots and utensils needed to prepare and serve meals. The bathroom includes a tub and a new vanity, light fixture and cabinets. The living room has a TV with a DVD player and a CD stereo system while the bedroom has a TV. All linens and towels are provided for your comfort.

Resort Features: Island Echos Condominiums are located on beautiful Okaloosa Island and overlook the white sandy beach and emerald-green waters of Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast. The long time family favorite seven-story classic beach retreat features one Gulf front pool heated seasonally and a shuffleboard court that is fun for the entire family. Tennis courts are a wonderful addition to the amenities and are lighted for playing at night. The grills and a picnic area are located close to the pool with a view of the Gulf. This great vacation resort is conveniently located close to the restaurants attractions and shopping of both Fort Walton Beach and Destin.

Island Echos - getting a little worn
12/09/2009 -- We have stayed at Island Echos many times and I love the location and also the resort. I did notice this time though that the room we rented defintely needed some work. It appeared run down and not quite as 'up to par' as we had experienced in previous years. We actually took a drive down Okaloosa Island and went into a number of other resorts - checking out rooms - so we can possibly stay somewhere different on our next trip. We noticed at many of these locations - the rooms were nicer and more upkept than what we had. -- Mrs. C.
Our Trip
12/09/2009 -- We've stayed at this resort previously and loved it. This time we experienced a problem with our condo smelling very fishy. We were given 2 other rooms to look at,one was not as well furnished as we've been accustomed to and we found the third choice to our liking,4d, nicely furnished, etc. The staff bent over backwards trying to accommodate us and we think the beach is great.We decided we'd probably avoid this resort property in the future, unless 4D is available. It's also a drive to the restaurants and clubs we enjoy in Destin. -- John R.
